A DIFFERENTIATED BRAND STORY FOR A FTSE 250 FUND

We worked with the board of NextEnergy Solar Fund (NESF) as well as the investment manager for NESF, NextEnergy Capital, to tell a story to engage individual and institutional investors.

Environment and Social Governance (ESG) is becoming a highly important consideration for individual and institutional investors. Funds are increasingly scrutinised about their investment decisions, from impacting on communities to protecting the environment. Yet still individual investors haven’t been folding to solar energy. Is it really a serious asset class? What are the realistic returns? How will solar energy fare in the coming years?

It feels great to know that we are helping to promote clean energy.

THE POWER OF SOLAR

We sought to answer these questions and build a compelling brand story.  We designed a new website  to provide both a statistical prompt – to show the impact of solar in terms of financial return and clean energy – as well as an emotional prompt, to show how solar can improve our planet and help in the fight against climate change.  Our central proposition being “We believe in the power of solar. Do you?”.

The website and content strategy was launched in the face of the COVID crisis – and yet has proved highly engaging with our audiences.
