When Gamesys and JackpotJoy Group came together to form a new FTSE 250 company, we were asked to help support them in their cultural integration. These were two very complementary companies with little overlap in terms of geography or product focus; but it was critical to help the two companies come together quickly, to create a united culture and focus everyone around a shared purpose.
Two businesses with a real passion and emphasis on culture – and a project team who entered into the programme with honesty, integrity and loads of great ideas.
CRAFTING ENTERTAINMENT WITH CARE
As well as conducting research with 22 senior leaders, we helped to facilitate workshops to enable a project team from across the two legacy businesses work through the strengths and weaknesses of each culture, and find the values and purpose which was both unifying and differentiating.
Mergers and acquisitions can be testing times for organisations – and if there’s a vacuum, it can lead to colleagues filling it with assumptions and misconceptions. Although two very different businesses in many ways, there was quickly a shared understanding and a real desire to find and grow a unified culture.
